O
ver
the past few years, I have had the pleasure of moving many vintage aircraft in
my spare time. When I first started moving them, some of the aircraft were
"questionable" at best but worthy of ferry permits, while others were museum
quality machines of beauty. The only thing that restricted me was time.
Today since my time is even more restricted, I am forced to focus on the one
aspect of these machines that I love most; their spirit. Years ago I realized
that most of what you read about these planes was cold and irrelevant to today's
pilots. This led me to start writing about the qualities of each aircraft I flew
and the overall feeling each of them offered an attentive pilot. Often
thrown into these ramblings is the story of the owners and the part they play in
the aircraft's survival. More importantly though, I do my best to honestly
describe each flying machine's flight characteristics by putting it into words the
“everyday Joe” could understand and find relevant. I have had great fun doing
this, have met some great people in the process, and with your help I hope to
continue growing a
library of aircraft reviews.
If you
would be willing to let me fly your plane, I would love to review it in writing.
Perhaps you would like to get you plane into a magazine, would like something
that might help you sell the aircraft, or just simply would like to share the
experience of your aircraft with another aviation nut; if this is you give me a
call and let’s talk. I have many references and not one bad.
Pictured below are just a FEW of the aircraft Rich has ferried and or flown. If
you have something old or unique that you would like to share with the world,
and want it to be treated with respect and the best of care,
contact Rich.
